MHP cultivates one of the largest land banks in Ukraine: approximately 370,000 hectares in Sumy, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipropetrovsk and other regions. MHP grows maize, sunflower, wheat and rape. The maize and sunflower seeds are used at the MHP feed plants, while wheat, rape, soybeans and other cultures are sold to the third parties.

Owing to the use of advanced technologies, intense investments, best practices of land farming activities from all over the world, strong management team and geographically proper located lands (optimum quantity of precipitation, quality of the soil, etc.), farm efficiency measures, namely EBITDA per hectare and the yield far outweigh average figures across Ukraine.

Growing grain for their own needs is one of the most important components of MHP integrated business model. This home-grown grain is used for making feed for the fowl and the cattle. The production of the crop species enables us to fully satisfy our needs and maintain a tough control of both biosafety and quality. The export of the grain brings extra revenue in the form of currency earnings which naturally acts as a hedge against currency volatility.
