We are pleased to announce that we are opening registration for training courses on improving the skills of personnel in the bioenergy sector within the framework of the EBRD/GEF project “Knowledge Management Program for Bioenergy Sector in Ukraine”.
Participation in training courses is FREE, but registration is required. Links to each thematic unit’s registration forms are provided below. All registered participants will receive a link to join the webinar prior to the event.
Course structure
Workshops will be divided into four thematic units, which will be taught sequentially according to the scheme “a week of study – a week of break” for better assimilation of information. PLEASE NOTE, separate registration is open for each direction!
- Вiogas and biomethane production: lectures for operators/technical staff of biogas plants and for management/administrative personnel |November 6-10, 2023 | REGISTER.
- The use of biomass for the production of heat and the combined production of heat and electricity: передбачені окремі теми lectures for operators/technical staff of bioenergy facilities and for management/administrative staff | November 20-24, 2023 | REGISTER.
- Creation and operation of effective bioenergy value chains, including biomass logistics: lectures for employees of logistics companies, manufacturers of pellets/briquettes from biomass, companies that grow energy plants | December 4-8, 2023 | REGISTER.
- General issues of bioenergy sector development: lectures for management and administrative staff of bioenergy facilities and companies | December 13-14, 2023 | REGISTER.

Important course questions
How much time is allocated to each thematic unit?
The educational material of the first three directions will be presented in the form of 10 lectures of 2 academic hours each – a total of 20 academic hours of study per unit. The unit dealing with general aspects of the bioenergy sector will contain 4 lectures of 2 academic hours each – a total of 8 academic hours of study.
Is it possible to register to a separate unit instead of the whole course?
Yes, you can choose one or more units that you want to study.
Who prepares the lectures?
Lectures will be prepared and presented by specialists of Scientific Engineering Centre «Biomass», who are experts of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine, have extensive experience and great expertise. The lectures are based on material developed by foreign experts of this project.
Will video and materials be provided after the event?
Yes, every lecture will be recorded. The materials will be presented on the resources of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine, which is the information partner of the course. Links to all the materials of each thematic unit will be sent to the participants of the training courses after each week of training.
What is the estimated number of participants?
We plan that at least 300 participants will take advanced training courses.
Will certificates be provided?
Yes, in order to receive a certificate, you need to study more than 75% of lecture materials.
Why is your feedback important to us?
At the end of the training courses, we will send a feedback form. It is very important for us to get your answers in order to improve the educational materials and make them more useful.
Thanks to you, our experts will refine the materials during the course, and the final version of the entire training course will be presented in video format and uploaded to our resources.
