The New Holland T7.270 Methane Power, the new tractor to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) and also capable of running on biomethane, was presented at AGRITECHNICA 2025, the world’s largest agricultural machinery exhibition in Hanover, Germany.

The New Holland T7.270 Methane Power has 270 hp and can operate autonomously for up to 11 hours with additional cylinders. In addition, it has the same performance characteristics as a diesel equivalent, with the additional benefit of reduced running costs.
The New Holland T7.270 Methane Power reduces CO₂ emissions by 10% (when using natural gas instead of diesel fuel), and when using biomethane, the tractor can achieve near-zero CO₂ emissions. If the biomethane is produced from manure, emissions can be reduced by -115% compared to diesel fuel.
Key features:
- Advanced NEF 6.7 litre turbocharged engine.
- Auto Command™ transmission for smooth operation.
- Horizon™ Ultra cab — the quietest in the industry (only 66 dB).
- Fully integrated with the PLM Intelligence™ digital platform.
- Real-time machine data — under the control of the owner and dealer.

“Reduced costs, increased comfort and environmental friendliness — all in one tractor!” — New Holland Agriculture.
It was on exhibition in Hanover from 9 to 15 November. The first NH T7.270 methane-powered tractor was sold from the stand for €290,000.
